Description
The DiO™ Advantage: Tube or Solid-State at the Touch of a Button
The true crowning jewel of the DAC-200ts is Cary Audio’s proprietary Dual Independent Output (DiO™) analog topology. This is not a compromise hybrid circuit. Instead, it features two completely independent, discrete analog output stages:
-
The Vacuum Tube Stage: Utilizing a matched pair of 12AU7 tubes, this path injects warm, holographic depth, lush mid-tones, and an organic smoothness that can tame harsh or lean digital recordings.
-
The Solid-State Stage: Engineered for absolute transparency, speed, and dynamic transient impact, this path offers lightning-fast bass response and ruler-flat neutrality.
Audiophile Flexibility: Switch between the Tube and Solid-State output stages instantly from the remote control or front panel to suit your mood, your genre, or the master quality of your track.
Groundbreaking Digital Architecture
Four DACs, Eight Processing Channels
While standard converters settle for one or two chips, Cary Audio utilizes four independent AK4490EQ DACs to handle eight channels of processing. This fully balanced parallel circuit architecture drastically lowers the noise floor and guarantees that true balanced XLR and single-ended RCA signals preserve every micro-detail buried in the original master file.
128-Bit TruBit™ Upsampling
Powered by a massive 128-bit DSP engine, Cary Audio’s TruBit™ Upsampling expands native bit depths to 32 bits and gives you the freedom to choose from seven selectable upsampling rates up to 768 kHz. Rather than utilizing a generic, one-size-fits-all algorithm, this sophisticated upsampling smooths out digital artifacts to reveal a profoundly lifelike, natural soundstage.
Jitter-Killing OSO™ Reclocking
To defeat the insidious effects of digital jitter, all incoming signals—including computer USB and wireless streams—are cross-checked and reclocked via OSO™ (Onboard Signal Origination) technology. By buffering and reclocking the digital stream with an ultra-precise internal XMOS master clock, jitter is pushed completely below measurable levels.
Key Features
-
Reference-Grade Digital Preamplifier: Features a high-performance 3.0V variable volume output, allowing you to bypass a traditional preamp and drive power amplifiers or active speakers directly.
-
Master Clock Versatility: Equipped with dedicated Word Clock inputs and outputs, allowing the DAC-200ts to effortlessly sync with an external master clock or act as the master clock for your entire digital stack.
-
Asynchronous USB Input: Decodes ultra-high-resolution files with ease, including PCM up to 32-bit / 384 kHz and native DSD 64, 128, and 256.
-
Hi-Fi Bluetooth Integration: Features CSR aptX® low-latency Bluetooth connectivity, running directly through the TruBit™ upsampling and parallel DAC ecosystem to make casual streaming sound like true high-fidelity audio.
